Electrolux and Entekhab Industrial make offers for Daewoo Electronics

Electrolux, the Sweden-based appliance maker, is said to have offered KRW 420bn (USD 375m) to buy Daewoo Electronics, reported Maeil Business.

Meanwhile, the other preferred bidder, Iran-based Entekhab Industrial Group, has proposed KRW 570bn (USD 508m) for the company.

The unsourced report said this offer does not include Daewoo’s Incheon plant.

At the end of March it was announced that lead creditor, Woori Bank, had selected Electrolux and Entekhab as preferred bidders, after receiving four LOI. (see here).
