Entekhab Industrial is rumored to have suggested a 15% discount on its initial offer of KRW 605bn (USD 509m) for Daewoo Electronics, reported the Maeil Business.
Daewoo Electronics is the unlisted South Korean electronic appliance maker and Entekhab Industrial, its Iran-based peer, was earlier selected as preferred bidder in the sale.
The report cited unidentified industry sources as saying that the suggestion originated because Entekhab had found some contingent liabilities in the process of due diligence.
The creditors of Daewoo and Entekhab will restart negotiations on 28 July and if the proposal receives 75% of agreement of creditors, a final agreement could be signed, it added.
